Amrut Intermediate Sherry

Amrut Intermediate Sherry is an Indian single malt from the Amrut distillery. This delicate and full-bodied sherried whisky first aged in ex-bourbon and virgin oak casks. It was then transferred to sherry casks, followed by a further maturation in bourbon barrels. It is bottled at 57.1%. The Indian company Amrut Distilleries ventured into the world of whisky distilling in the 1980s, the first distillery in India to do so. In 2004, Amrut launched their single malt in Europe. The brand gained worldwide popularity in 2009, when Jim Murray named Amrut Single Malt the third best whisky in the world.
